We understand that, historically, too many churches have been places that fostered a culture of secrecy and power that allowed sexual and other kinds of abuse to thrive. Nativity Church is committed to embodying a healthy environment where children and other vulnerable people are protected from exploitation and abuse. As part of this endeavor, Nativity trains and performs a criminal records check (CORI) on its staff as well as all volunteers who work with children. We also have clear guidelines in place so that we may be a safe space, free of verbal or physical abuse or any type of sexual misconduct or harassment.
